Hours
Grooming at Claws and Paws is generally by appointment during the hours of 7:30am to 4:00pm, Tuesdays thru Saturdays. We estimate your pet's pick-up time when you drop off and can almost always accommodate your schedule. Earlier drop off or later pick up may be arranged when your appointment is made. We ask that you pick up your pet as arranged. Please note that a pick up later than the 4:00pm closing, unless pre-arranged, may result in an added charge.
For the comfort, safety, and health of your pet, we provide separate private housing for visits to our salon. Pets are never sedated in any way. If you are in need of these services, or if your pet cannot be groomed without them, we recommend they be performed under strict veterinary supervision.
Pets are fluff dried by hand, if tolerated, and we never use heated dryers in our kennels. After all, we do live in Phoenix!!!
All housing, grooming stations, and equipment are disinfected between each and every pet. Towels are never re-used and we use only clean and fresh water for bathing. Pets are bathed in natural, aloe-based shampoos using a bathing system that provides a gentle and cleansing massage. Special oatmeal/hypo-allergenic/medicated shampoos are available on request at an additional charge, but there is never an extra charge for remoisturizers or conditioners. We will also apply owner-supplied veterinarian prescription shamposs. Our goal is to make your pet look its very best!
Finally, we will only perform grooming procedures that do not place undue stress or cause discomfort to your pet. We will not sacrifice your pet's safety and comfort for vanity. If your pet is not acustomed to grooming, or behaves poorly we will only accomplish what we can in order to avoid injury to the pet and the groomer. Regardless, all pets are handled with compassionate care and confident calm. Please note that we do reserve the right to refuse grooming to extremely difficult or aggressive pets.
